why not have a double header final 3rd feb?

it still needs some fine tuning (ie results)

BUT

why not look at a lightning home final on Sat 3rd Feb and the 36ers v tigers after at 8pm

clearly both teams get better crowds on double headers - when i have been there for Lightning games tehre is obviously more people and then they seem to stay for the mens' game.

DO IT

for the girls - the extra support could be that 6th player on the court

its alright 7G i'll plug that hole - we will make the 36ers v Tigers game apart of the regular season so that wont be a problem :)

The 36ers v Tigers game is now a Foxtel game and has to start at 7pm. This would mean the Lightning would have to start at around 4pm!

ABC will also want to cover the girls final, so unfortunately while it's a great idea, I can't see it happening.

Interesting point.

But the ABC also broadcast the Friday night match on ABC2 on Friday night.

It also needs to be remembered that the Lightning and 36ers are now two very seperate organisations. I think that this year will see a total of 4 NBL/WNBL double-headers; 3 of which will happen in Adelaide.

It would appear it's not as simple an exercise as some would believe it to be.
