The 'Cats meet the Townsville Crocs tonight at Challenge Stadium in a special matchup that will see proceeds from ticket sales goto Channel 7's Telethon, a WA based charity.

Apparently these images/posters were plastered all over Perth and featured on the frontpage of their website.

Maybe they are forced to drop prices because it's a Monday night.
I'd hate to think what kind of crowd we'd get on a Monday night.

There's no evidence that a game on Monday night would be less exciting than a game on any other night. If we had one on a Monday night and guaranteed to get atleast 3 dunks from Farley, would you care that its happening on a Monday night?

The Sixers have had Monday night games before, but only during finals.
The Salvo's use the stadium on a Monday night at the minute. Maybe they can play the Academy beforehand!

I personally wouldn't care if a game was on a Monday night but I do think the crowd would be well down.
There is evidence to suggest games on weeknights draw smaller crowds, and I reckon Monday would have to be the worst night to schedule a game.

I agree that Monday night isn't ideal, BUT if tickets were $12 I'm sure you would get plenty of people going why the hell not :-)

Well Perth attracted 3100 which is their smallest crowd for the season and well below average.
Maybe the day and time of the games is just as important as the prices.
We always get below average crowds for Wednesday games, don't we?
