Gleeson looking closely at Filipino league

Townsville Crocodiles head coach Trevor Gleeson has "two or three" players he especially wants to see during his trip to the Philippines to find a replacement for departed import Larry Abney, according to the Townsville Bulletin newspaper.

Gleeson is currently in Manila to scout players in the Philippine Basketball Association as possible replacements for Abney, who signed with archrivals the Taipans last week.

I wonder who he is looking at over thre apart from Ellis. I have had a look on the PBA site and its hard to find out much about their imports.

Didn't the Slingers get the 'Filipino league' 'MVP' from a couple of seasons ago? He took his time to adjust to our league/rules (they use the NBA style rules over there) and didn't really set the world alight with his skill, apart from the odd game or two
