KG and Cornesy interview Forman
This evening, KG and Cornesy interviewed Oscar Forman after his 23 point, 9 rebound game against the Wildcats on Saturday night.
They talked briefly about the losses during the week. Oscar said that they were out-run off the boards a few times, but had a shot at the win.
Both opposing teams were run and gun style and it was easy to tire with two away games.
Oscar said that the first quarter was definitely catch-up. They were down by 5 or so at half-time, but played hard to bring it back.
Cornesy asked about tactics used against Maher and Farley. Oscar said that both of them know they need to score and know what to expect from their opponents and only someone making a full-game attempt to disrupt (e.g., Boucher in Round 1) could put either off.
On the topic of his career-best game, he said that he felt that he was going to have a good shooting night from the warm-up, and scored mostly off drive-and-dish opportunities from Maher, Farley and Williams.
When he talked to Boti Nagy on the phone, he expressed surprise that he was consistently left open for shots. Nagy had suggested that it was his 27% career outside shooting (courtesy of two low early years).
The duo and Oscar talked about three-point percentages. Oscar said that Andrew Gaze and Maher were the most reliable he'd seen in the NBL.
They talked also about Maher's reliability and that he never has a bad game.
They finished by talking about West Sydney visiting on Saturday. All mentioned the importance of getting back on the winners list.
