Did you hear the other week in a Collingwood home game the AFL said they were gonna do random drug testing?

Half the crowd didn't turn up.

If there isn't one, I'd be happy to start one if there were a few Victorian readers around to put up Vic-related news and help moderate?

How easy (probably the wrong word there) is it to set one up Isaac?

Id love to see a Qld/Gold Coast based site similar to Hoops SA to provide an open forum for all things bball up here (juniors, social, schools right up to NBL)

I agree, lets get a Vic forum started so we can have deep and meaningful debates with the "Victorian"

Statman, QLD already has BenDoes, but I never really visit.

Ultimately, I'd like this site to cover all basketball in Australia - as always, just a matter of finding the time to set it all up properly to cater for the traffic and allow existing readers who don't care about other NBL teams, other ABL leagues, etc to ignore that content. One day soon, hopefully.

Statman,

if you're looking for a QLD version of Hoops SA, head to bendoes.com.

That site has been running for quite a few years & tends to cover all the happenings in QLD hoops.

The bigv runs a forum that is pretty crude, but it gets lots of posts.

The only one relevant is the Big V Forum. Hoops SA is the easiest posting forum by far, can check and post without signing in an all that give.
Huge market for a Vic post along the same model as Hoopssa.

Dear South australian (above)

Lets get a vic forum going, then we might get a bit of sense on here.

The first question I would ask you is

Why when we come to your lovely state do we come back not 30 minutes on the clock but 30 years in time ?

When are you gonna let your under 10 kids shoot 3's and play on a big ring rather than do lay up after lay up and play on a midgets court?

When are you gonna get stadiums that have more than 3-4 courts ?

When will you get CABL teams that can compete with ours ?

How is it that only one of your local club teams has been able to compete with our top teams on a consistent basis ?

What are your other local teams doing ?

That can be a start, but do not use the population theory as part of your debate - stick to facts and results and don't turn to footy to shift focus and don't ........

Go catters

Hear, hear Victorian!

They use the population argument, but they have proportionally less clubs.

Their clubs SHOULD be as strong as ours! Problem is, their system sucks. Good for developing a few elite players but that's about it.

You guys have a good forum, tho! If they had a "basketball forum national championships" you guys might win something!!!

victorian...

"Lets get a vic forum going, then we might get a bit of sense on here"

Is that because you will go to the vic forum, so that we may talk sense here?

How many times are you going to post along the lines of "30 minutes back on the clock, 30 years back in time"? Really it was not funny the first time, or the second, or the third, or...

Why is it you talk about the "Big V", yet on here you spell your name with a little v?

How much deeper would the ocean be, if it didn't have sponges?

You're ugly and your mother dresses you funny.
