Ben Fitz passed this on - it's the intro for the Houston Rockets series against the Jazz. A bit of a mixture, but the rocket taking off, the fire/smoke effects, Skip stealing the ball after being invisible, etc - all awesome.

With the refurbishment of the Dome what are the chances of that being within the realms of possibility in Adelaide?
I say, if anywhere in Australia, then Adelaide has the best opportunity given the facility and the fans.
Imagine how good that would be.

Too hard - too expensive, too much effort, etc. Would need to aim for something much more scaled back.
If the NBA finals are Spurs vs Pistons, their intros should be footage of people falling asleep in public.

Like that one, yes, very expensive. Game footage plus significant editing and effects. Plus studio shots. And so on.

You could save money on effects by just setting a ball on fire. I once played soccer in Scouts with a flaming ball of oily rags. It looked just as good.
