Locked: Recruiting??

Has a certain out of town club finally got the message that other BSA clubs are fed up with their official letters signed by a senior club representative, going to some of their best junior players, who just happen to have played State Country Ball? Come to us for better development is the enticing offer.
How would they react if shoe was on the other foot??
Squeal??

The Awnser is easy:

If the certain out of town club sent the message to other BSA clubs that they are fed up with official or unofficial letters signed by anyone of the clubs representatives, going to any players whether they have played State/Country/Representative Basketball.
I think we need shoes on both feet.

Crystal Clear..........

I myself think that if they want to play a SA Country team they chould by all means.

But the other clubs should all refuse to play against them. Lets see how much they improve then.

Just an absolutely unethical joke by SA Country and their Metro Club team.

No kid U18 should be getting recruiting letters. If this happens BSA should put a stop to it now.

This has got nothinhg to do with this thread, but does anyone know what stadium the Breakers play at? I am here in Auckland and would like to go to the game this week, but not if it is some expensive cab fare.
Many thanks

I think they're at the North Shore Events Centre these days. Hit nzbreakers.co.nz and look for contact info - they should be able to help you. How expensive the cab is might depend on where you're staying. There's always a ferry across the harbour if needed.

The club in mention has sent a number of letters to junior players- some are State Country reps- stating how they have been monitioring their progress and would like them to consider moving clubs. Letter is signed by a high ranking official of the club.

It's the Mavs isn't it. One of the South girls has gone over to them!

Which is worse?

Sturt are much more direct - they rock up to SAC trials and ask the players directly. No messing around with silly paper trails that way.

The difference is Sturt don't target players that already play for other clubs. That's the huge difference and clearly Mavs have crossed the line. Which is worse? Easy answer.
