It is true there are some good players but some others would rate a mention, a couple of guys from West seem to have been missed. There is a pool of talent but given the results of the last few State team reps, maybe it is time for a bit of new or untried blood instead of the same old guys based on what they did along time ago. We have nothing to loose and only our pride to regain.

I was about to ask the question about Sam Hemmings as I have not seen him around the traps and he hasn't been in the Tigers Senior Mens squad.

Can some shed some light? Has he given basketball away? or has he moved interstate as stated earlier in this post?

chief is woeful for a big guy...lacks soft touch, is slow and soft!!!

Reply #155879 | Report this post

155807,
Is he just another outstanding junior with loads of potential at Norwood to gradually fall by the wayside?

He could make any ABL side and with his size and strength I am sure they would get him back on track.

I don't know anything about the Norwood production line, I was just wondering what happened to him? Does he play anymore? He seemed a shoe-in for me to be in the Top 3 or 4 in the league in the U18 games he played last year against my son.

There will be around 4 Panther boys who should be in the running, Dubrich, Reid, Harding and Hirst.

Harding and Hirst. Bah ha ha ha.

Panther,

Good to see you still have a sence of humour.

by the way, its *sense* of humour, and i guess panther would no more about those boys than any of you because he actually coaches them. Id say Harding and Dubrich, maybe Reid.

ProductionLineToTrashTip

Fallen by the wayside? Hardly.

By all ******** he did well at junior camp recently (as did McMath), and was definitely, as stated above, one of the top 3 or 4 in the league last season.

With his size and strength, he has potential to go far beyond just making an ABL side.

The real question is - will yet another promising junior be lost to football. He is an extremely promising footballer as well.

Well corrupt grammar police, I thank you profoundly for correcting my silly mistake, however I have just noticed what you actually wrote,

"Ummm, if you are have a go about spelling"

That should be changed to:

"Ummm, if you are *having* a go about spelling"

Sorry I had to point that out but I had to correct the grammar police. ;)

Reply #156079 | Report this post

No.

'have a go' is the correct past tense.
'having a go' is current tense (which would be incorrect.

Gee this got pety quickly!

"Ummm, if you are have a go about spelling" - note the "are" in there. Also, try "petty".

Isaac, the full stop goes inside the quotation marks.

Also, try "petty."

Ironic?

Skitt's Law:

"Spelling or grammar flames always contain spelling or grammar errors."

So, to keep it rolling:
In British English, when a quotation mark appears at the end of a sentence the full stop is usually placed after it. The matter is partly determined by the length of the enclosed material: the longer it is, more acceptable it is that the full stop should come first.
In American English the full stop normally comes before the quotation mark.

I thought McGinty plays down south for Mt. Gambier in the SEABL?
What happens down there with junior teams, do they have a district level comp set up? Or just development training.

Reply #156188 | Report this post

while off the real topic, how often does a poster ask a question and then being a new sentence improperly? or they don't begin sentences with capital letters? Because it doesn't really matter? or because they can't be stuffed?

I thought this was a topic on U20 predictions not on grammar and spelling.

My 2 cents Kurtis and Josh from West should be given serious consideration for selection.

My concern is that the same group that has been selected time and time again for whatever reason will continue to underachieve as our state representatives.

Sureley the fact that the game changes in style and tempo from age group to age group would imply that certainly some of the fringe players at least should be rotated out of selection to blood new players that adapt better to the age group.

By that law the first last that was mentioned (post #155730) only 2 players from that list should make the team
