Savings and Loans 3-Point Shootout

The Adelaide 36ers are searching for the best District 3-point shooters in the state.

We are holding the inaugural "Savings & Loans 3-Point Shootout" to find the best 3-Point shooters in both Senior and Junior ranks. The best shooters from each club will compete against each other prior to a 36ers home game, with the final to be held at half time.

Each shooter will have 60 seconds to shoot 25 shots from around the arc. There will be 5 racks of 5 balls; each basket is worth 1 point with the last ball on each rack being the "Money Ball" and worth 2 points.

The shooters with the best scores in the first round will continue into the finals, where they will then compete in knock-out finals, until we have 2 grand finalists.

The 2 grand finalists will compete at half time of the 36ers game and the winner will be crowned "Savings & Loans 3-Point Shootout Champion". Plus, the major sponsor of the event, Savings & Loans, will also donate a $500 savings account to each individual winner!

District clubs are invited to nominate a Senior male and female and a Junior (U/18 and below) male and female to compete in this prestigious competition.

Contact the club for a nomination form and return it before the November 16 nomination cut-off date.

I really like this idea, and am tempted to nominate myself!! Unless The Minx or Shorty beat me in a 3-pt competition at training. This is some half-time entertainment that I'd actually watch.

That's the kind of stuff we WANT to see as halftime entertainment. Good job, keep it coming!
