Cattalini out for the season

This just in from the NBL site:

In a major blow to their title hopes, the Cairns Taipans have announced that star forward Martin Cattalini will miss the rest of the season after succumbing to an Achilles injury.

Shame. Cat seemed to be putting up some big numbers of late. Hopefully he can make a full recovery.

Obvious option for them is to cut Rashad Tucker, free up 10 points for a new import and then have 9 points free for someone else. Kills two injured birds with one stone I guess.

Sad news.. he is a gun and probably close to or at his peak. How much bad luck are Cairns having, great team on paper at beginning of season.

Hmm... they may be able to offer Schenscher a better (& longer) offer?

123abc, that would be right, replace one injured player with another injured player. Good one.

They should have rehabed him at the start of the season when he told them he needed surgery, he would then have been back for the seasons finish , now they have nothing from him

Dumb decision by management and coaching staff.

As was said on here , he could hardly walk let alone play well in the pre-season here
