Didn't somone say we should be a able to sign an import player that doesn't count in salary cap? Like the A league?
We'll theres a few handy players who have not signed on to play as of yet in the NBA this season.

Chris Webber
Earl Boykins
Alan Henderson

booga - any NBA name would get the league significant attention. The Rodman stunt by the Dragons got them easy press for example. Gary Payton's brother played in the NZ league - The Glove might be a chance. :P

If one of the Aussies playing overseas, aka a Matty Nielsen or David Anderson were keen to come home would they fit this criteria?? It'd be great if we could get some of our lads back on home soil playing in the NBL again!!

Ain't many owners in the league that could afford to pay Andersen for a full season here in Australia regardless of the fact if it counts towards the cap or not.

I think more teams should be looking to the D-League, the only real disappointment from there was Beasley, Rickert and Homicide both came across this year and look how they've turned out, D-League players wouldnt be demanding huge salaries either.
Wouldn't mind getting Pooh Jeter(lol) or Randy Livingston over here.
