Iron deficiency? Chappelle breaks endurance record

The Hoops Gods are off somewhere smirking, that's for sure.

In the week that the 36ers wonder if an iron deficiency is preventing Mike Chappell from playing at his full ability for an entire game, comedian Dave Chappelle breaks the stand-up record by telling jokes and generally entertaining an audience for six hours and 12 minutes.

Here's the link, though it must rank as one of the most bland news items in history.

Story Highlights
- Dave Chappelle breaks Laugh Factory endurance record
- Chappelle determined to hold record; allegedly Dane Cook was to make run
- Chappelle has been traveling; told audience he'd been to Ecuador

It wasnt really a psycho fit, he just quit, left the country for a while and possibly stayed stoned for several months.
There was a big dispute because Comedy Central started to try and control his shows aswell. Kinda nice when you can walk out of a $30mill tv deal

To make the story even more of a non event the record is only for the Laugh Factory which is presumably a venue, I know people have done 24 sets at the Edinburgh Fringe before.

Sooo, tests come back good (well bad for Chappell), does this mean the powers that be will finally take the big step?

Personally I hope he has a 30 point game and we get the win against Sydney.
However that would probably mean that Mike is retained, and with the lack of consistency shown this year, that then would probably mean that we are rewarded with 4 games of 8 - 12 points following it.

I would even like to see Mike remodel himself into a Darnell Mee type stopper, who could shut down Worthington (the Sixers nemesis) and then back this up against the Slingers and Melbourne. Then I could accept 8 - 12 points.

However, I do not think this will happen, and it just seems more frustrating when teams are pulling in plyers like Greene, Homicide and now talk of C.Williams!! All mid season.

Come on management, please act pro actively for once, and don't wait till the fans stop coming all together!

Venting over, COME ON SIXERS!
