Great game - 1983 NBA All Star Game

I Have just spent an enjoyable 1.1/2 hrs watching the 1983 NBA All Star game played at the Forum in LA.

I had forgotten how good the "good old days" really were.

Among the players were: Dr J, Magic, Kareem, Isiah, George Gervin, Toney, Moses, Bird.
Boy, those guys could play.

Also pleasing was that there was NOT one tattoo, headband, braid, corn roll, arm/leg sleeve, "skins" corsets or calf length shorts amongst them.

Commentary was by Bill Russell and Dick Stockton and even though the score was East 132 - West 123. there was good defense played with a lot of blocks. Dr J was MVP.

Jeez Moose, if you're going to put the result in the game can you PLEASE put the word "spoiler" in the title? I was planning on getting out the old betamax tonight and watching my old recording but I guess I needn't bother now.

If you don't want spoilers, then I best not tell you that Bruce Willis is dead all the way through THE SIXTH SENSE!

in the fugitive, when he jumps off the dam wall and they're searching for him, he hasn't actually died!

and in not another teen movie, the main chick with the ponytail, glasses and overalls turns out to be HOT. YA HA!

In FIGHT CLUB, Tyler Durden (played by Brad Pitt) doesn't really exist!

In WIZARD OF OZ, Dorothy was in her bed all along!

Yes Moose a great game, how wild is the Doctors dunk over Artis Gilmore....and after there was no chest beating or singlet popping.

Oh and Santa isn't real...and in the crying game the chick has a doodle...

If don't want to know who wins the 2007 NBL I'll tell you it's not the 6ers.

I watched it on an VHS video taped in 1983 from the original Channel 7 telecast (with Bill Palmer- what a bore what with his flying flap-doodles).

As for uploading it to stage 6, you're talking in a foreign language.
I've only just coming to grips with DVDs

I love watching the old games.

I've got the 1980 Magic vs 76ers 40 point Finals game, 1984 All Star Game, 1984 Lakers vs Celtics Final where McHale clotheslines Kurt Rambis, plus the 1983 180 point triple overtime Detroit Denver game.

Also got numerous old Jordan, Bird, Magic games.

Ah the memories !!

In STAR WARS, Luke and Leia are brother and sister.

Better yet, their Dad is DARTH VADER!
