Funny Sixers move to top of the ladder

In the first half to the 2004/05 Philips Championship that has seen no team win more than two-thirds or lose more than a third of their games, the Adelaide 36ERS sit in top spot after the 11-point victory over the Hunter Pirates.

The Sydney Kings have an equivalent record of 10 wins and 5 losses, but the Sixers hold an edge in the percentage of points scored by them compared to their opponents.

Matching the Sixers record of 4 wins in 5 games are the Brisbane Bullets who are in 5th position.

Previous leaders, the Wollongong Hawks, have lost three straight games to slip to 10 and 6.

Adelaide is the only team in the competition to hold a perfect home record, winning 9 games straight, but are not performing solidly on the road, having won only one of six games away from the Distinctive Homes Dome.

I'd feel a little more confident if we could actually get some away wins. I can't help but feel our first position is due in part to a favourable draw so far.
