Barack got game?

Stumbled across this the other day, a photo essay of US presidential hopeful Barack Obama hooping it up with a Sports Illustrated writer (with a photographer just happening to be near by).

It's hard to tell if he's any good from still images, but he looks smooth enough, playing with his elbows in (complete basketball novices usually play with elbows out) and he talks about dunking as a 16-year-old here.

It seems like a much simpler way to decide the US president: no caucauses or primaries, no massive campaign budgets, just get all the candidates together for a 1-on-1 tourney, a three-point shooting comp or even a game of bump, winner takes all rules the free world.

He could almost double for Tayshaun Prince to the sight-challenged.

Can the sixers look at him for next year?

It would make for great trade relations as he would be able to do Australia, NZ and have a big impact in Asia through playing in Singapore whilst on road trips.

Also would bring in a fairly decent bit of publicity having the president of the united states on the squad.

It is win win for both camps

I can also add 'Hillary got game?' to the 2008 thread titles thread.
