Can anyone tell me what Norwood will be like this year at 16 boys and who coaches them?

Yes Keilor people, it's your mate.
And here's the tip - they are very good. Norwood and Eastern are by far the class of the U16 boys grade in SA at the moment.

In other grades:
12 boys - Sturt, but I expect they'll be a fair way behind the best Vic teams (SA teams usually are).
14 boys - Sturt. They are very competitive. Have heard they are playing Knox - if so should be a cracker. Of course, if the NSW composite teams go over (usually do in this grade) they should beat anything from SA. Not sure if North are going (don't think they are but have in past?), if so they are competitive too.
16 boys - Norwood will be right around the mark if all are going. Sturt are okay but well behind them.
18 boys - not sure if any SA teams are going?

Should be a high quality tournament. Best of luck to all SA teams.

Norwood will win 16s if they play well cos they have some quality players and play well as a team. Sturt will do alright but not up to the standard of norwood.

Lowly D.Valley beat them????? #169609 why do you say they are lowly? They have qualified for VC and have one of the best players going around.

no div 1 side from sa made the semi's but most of the sturt div 1 sides made the quarters there under 16 boy side performed a lot betta than expected getting further than norwood did and losing to the eventual winners in the quarters

#169637 The coach of the Diamond Valley U16's team is Alan McAughtry who as some will know is the former head coach of U16 Vic Metro Men. This year he has moved into the U18's to assist Guy Molloy. The DV team missed VC in U14's from memory.

He didnt coach them this weekend though. Any idea who did? Saw the results, and they beat Eltham, is that right?

That's right, they beat Eltham by 10 and fell over in the semi's.

Waverly were down by 10 at half-time to Sturt in the 1/4 finals - Sturt coughed up posession in the 2nd half and Waverly ran over the top of them.
