Adidas only recently consumed Reebok and now looks like a possible takeover of Adidas by Nike.

God I hope not... it never ends in a better product for the consumer:
Just like the WWE taking over WCW and ECW... the product has declined ever since :(

Nike buying out Converse has been a dud move.
Converse used to have a good range of shoes, now its fancy coloured chuck taylors and not much else.

converse never really had a large range of shoes, their most known show are the chucks, which nike has been able to push even more, and has actually pushed the brand better than it used to be with different signings such as Dwayne Wade. I doubt ADIDAS would sell to Nike, purely that Nike is an American owned company, and ADIDAS have a solid background in Germany, who would be very pissed to here that an American is now running the company. Not to mention that Nike has recently purchased alot of other companys in recent years, which they will want to grow first.

Hope this isnt true as Adidas is the sponsor for the 36ers gear next season Issac will this affect the deal with the 36ers?

it wouldn't affect any of their contracts at this point, as Nike would have to also take those contracts onboard, just like WWF/WWE did when they bought WCW and ECW.
