Denver and High Scores

Have noticed the Nuggets have had a lot of exceptionally high scoring games lately. In the last 6 weeks they've had 138 v Seattle, 137 v Toronto, 168 v Seattle (the very next game), and just the other day they recorded 147 again against Seattle.

Bloody hell, just realised a common link in most of these high scores, Sonics must have some serious match up issues against the Nuggets, although in that last outing the Sonics managed 151 of their own for the W. Purists must have hated that game and wished they were watching the Spurs 72-65 excitementfest against the Blazers.

re: Denver and High Scores

Don't Denver and the Detroit Pistons have the highest ever score back in 1982-84 sometime?

180+ points scored by one team @ least?

2 or more OT?

re: Denver and High Scores

I have noticed the high scores of late.

I stay run, up tempo style. Plenty of energy and scoring.

Also the Denver altitute might have something to do with it too.

The score was 186-184 in double overtime in 1983. I decided not to go to the game because Denver was suffering another Xmas blizzard. Damn!!!

You'll never see them diving for loose balls though

i went to triple Overtime the 1983 classic between Denver and Detroit.
after watching the Denver v seattle scoring fest from a few weeks back i decided to dig the 83 classic up from the closet.
