Brian Kerle's back & steering the reins with Joey

Isaac,

I apologise in advance for the linky thing not liking me!
This deal was announced today at a press conference at Bullets HQ at 12:30pm:

Link 1

Link 2

Link 3

Looks like they've got the best possible backing for the boys behind the scenes.
Sammy Mack and Bruton almost certain to stay now- Ebi we already knew about and Dusty is still up in the air. (quite literally I hear- haha)
I'm a pig in mud right now and hope the recent management changes can be put to rest and will translate on court for the team.

Can you let me know what trouble you're having with Linky? Thanks.

I hear Joey wont be coaching. I'd be surprised if CJ stays.

The news.com.au article says that Joey has signed a fresh contract with Kerle so you could be a little off kad.

Isaac, when I click on the linky thing, it gives you the link, then says to copy and paste it, and when I do that and post it, it comes up all weird and not a hyperlink- it looks like I just hit a random bunch of keys on my keyboard.
What am I doing wrong?

Say you're replying to a post. You start your post. Click "Need to add a link?" to expand the Linky box. Paste in your link, hit Go. A second or so later, it will give you a box with some HTML.

That should look a bit like this:

<a href="http://linky.com.au/1hcml" target="_blank">http://linky.com.au/1hcml</a>
Then, paste that in your post where you want the linky to be, and once posted it should appear like this: http://linky.com.au/1hcml. The bit I put in bold above you can change to something like "Link to a Hoops post" or "ESPN article".

If you still have problems, are you able to drop me an email?

ok, i'll double check that.
i remember all the steps that you mentioned, except for the part where i can re-name the link what i like.
i could swear that when it formats it, i've pasted it but it doesn't turn into a hyperlink- i'm sure it's the user not the linky that's the problem- lol
i'll try it out again and if it doesn't work i'll drop you an email for sure.
thanks.

joey yesterday signed for 5 years.
the boys wouldn't stay without joey, but they want to now- they know they're in great hands with him and kerle.
sam and cj have no reason to go now, and they acknowledged that themselves- they do have to work out their salaries though, but there is give and take.
enought of this constant baseless bickering about how who will still go and who won't- i much prefer my info from the horse's mouth, than just wishful and nasty nonsense.
if they still hadn't found a buyer, i can understand you guys going on about this, but it no longer an issue, UNLESS, they decide they want to go for more money- right now, it has only been 24hrs since the announcement that everyone is stoked and can breathe easy for now and some of you still won't let it go.
sad.

that's spot on.
i heard dusty left for hawaii and MN today for holidays so he perhaps spoke to them yesterday.
to be really honest, i read an article where eddy said how much money he lost over the years, how his "budget ran over a bit" (!)
it said in part:

(i will battle with linky again- lol)

http://linky.com.au/z6k81

or http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/news/sport/bullets-sold-on-a-shake/2008/04/16/1208025270629.html?page=fullpage#contentSwap2 if it doesn't work.

"It lost money every year. You can break square. There are some NBL teams that make some money. It's the stadium that makes the difference and the people that pay for the tickets," Groves admitted.

"You've got to be passionate to run a sporting team because you know you probably won't be making any money out of it. You might be lucky, but it's very difficult to do. So you've got to be passionate with it.
"You couldn't lose the Bullets out of the NBL. You just couldn't. That was my biggest fear."

"Planes for the fans to go down to grand finals, players to go to Las Vegas, Hall of Fame dinners... you get a bit carried away some times. But it was all worth it."

it must've killed him to sell and not only pool so much money into the bullets, but the nbl as well for it to eventually end up like this.
i now somewhat see why so many people bitch about how good we've had it- i guess there's a lesson in there for our team and whether they want to be here only when they can be spoilt too, or whether they're here for the right reasons, because our club is still successful even without all those toys and extras.
i hope the fans realise how lucky some of them have had it too with our chartered planes to go to the Grand Final last year.

the next week will be a good test for all of us to see if our heads are in the right places.
