How is the State Champion Club determined ?
What is the exact logic used in the calculation to determine who is the overall Club winner at the State Championship ? Anyone who can provide the details ? Thanks.

Top 4 in each State grade scores points:
State Champions 5 points.
Runners-Up 3 points.
3rd 2 points.
4th 1 point.
The rest score zero unless you forfeit a game (which is -5 points I believe).
Add them all up, highest total = State Champion Club

After the latest champs, I assume Sturt are the reigning Club.
Looked at just the boys U12 to U16 groups, Sturt average position is 3.1 on the table:
North 4.8
W Magic 4.8
Cougars 5.1
Tigers 5.1
Norwood 6.2
Woodville 6.6
Lions 7.0
Eagles 7.5
West 8.5
South 9.3
Cougars & Magic are on top in a couple of divisions. Woodville seem to be the big improvers in U12 Boys beign top in Div 1 and Div 2. Suprisingly Sturt aren't on top in any of the boys, but have the highest average position.
Div 2 boys this week sees a top of the table clash between Woodville and Lions

That's only because of the way the SportingPulse site does the ladders, because of the uneven draw, catch up games, byes and stuff. Sturt are actually on top of every Boys Div 1 grade except 10's where they are second.

I thought for overall State Champ the points allocated to u18 is more than for u16 is more than u14, etc?

It did used to be weighted like that, where the older age groups were worth more than the younger ones.
It changed about.....4 or 5 years ago I think?
About the same time as they took the U10s out of it.
All age groups are now of equal weight.
