Rocket was good but didn't shoot the three. How about McKay in his prime?

Damien Anderson from the Mount Gambier Pioneers.

When he was open nobody bothered for rebounds.

Still regarded as one of the best shooters in the country.

anyone that saw willie jennette play for the pioneers would have witnessed pure shooting at its best, he was so effortless with his whole motion, it looked perfect and most times ended up that way. some big games down at the mount for big will.

He scored over 1000 points that season...easily and seemingly as you say nblfreak without effort.

no-one would even come close to damien anderson. id go as far as saying he is probably the best shooter in the country. he makes threes so effortlessly whether its in the last second to win the game or if its 2 metres beyond the arc.

we are all forgetting John Rillie. he suited for sixers before the razorbacks. He would have to be the purest shooter in SA, albeit he is not in SA colors now. His shot is so autommatic from any range, magic!

This may come out of the blue, but Paul Pochintesta had the best shot I have ever seen. Last year when he was on he was pure baby!

He was so smooth it was like watching silk flap in the breeze.

I'll take a bag of silk baby!

I'd have to say:

Mike Mckay
Brett Maher
Darryl Pearce
Phil Smyth
and given some time probably Brad Newely

Brenton Campbell would definitely be up there amongst the best. He has consistently shot well from any where on the court. Back when he was in under 18's, he was regarded as one of the best three point shooters in the nation. He would share the title of purest shooter in SA

This topic is discussing All-time shooters. No way you could put Campbell or Newley in yet.

I'd say Maher or Pearce

I may be a little partial to Willie since he's my big brother. I have a daughter that plays here in the US and she takes after her uncle. He regularly gives her pointers on how to practice her shot so that it becomes second nature. So far she has listened and taken his advice. So because of his love and guidance, she has received a full scholarship to play at a DIV I college here in the US. I thank him and love him dearly and thinks he the best thing since sliced bread--but like I said--I may be a bit partial to him!!!
