Slingers announcing more home matches

Starting with the Brunei Cup the Slingers now look set to play upto 20 matches in less than 40 days by a combinations of tournaments in Brunei, Malaysia and Taiwan plus several home matches in Singapore.

Here is the new schedule for the home games :

Sun 21 Sept v Air 21 (Philippines PBA)

Tues 30 Sept v Purefoods (Philippines PBA)

Sun 5 Oct v Sydney Spirit (Australian NBL)

Sun 12 Oct v Beijing Aoshen (China was in ABA but looks likely to return to China CBA in 2009)

Wed 5 Nov v Malaysia All-Stars (National team plus 2 US imports)
Sun 7 Dec v Satria Muda Britama (Indonesian IBL)
Tues 16 Dec v Darwin All-Stars
Sun 4 Jan v RP Harbour Centre (Philippines PBL)
Sun 11 Jan v BC Bangalore (India)

so let me get this right.... the slingers are now a team that are not part of any competition, but are nothing more that an exhibition side playing one off games.....wtf?
