well i would have to say horsham this is becasue in the national junior classic they topped Sandringham and sandy are runners up in Victorian Champ this year, shame to see horsham cant compete in normal season games real shame, in my opinion the best country team in the country.

yeah knox are too bad but i think they would improve a lot if they had a BIGV program, becasue when juniors finish they step up into youth leauge and when they finish yl it is good if they get in to the seabl squad but what if there not good enough where to they go then? a bit letting down in the respect and thats the same as nunawading, both get junior programs but dont treat there players correctly in my opinion.

HO, yes they do and very good ones aswell, my point is where do the players that are not good enough to step up into there respevtive SEABL teams , where to from there for those players?

spending years at a club and through youth league only to get told you are not good enough to play seabl from knox or nuna for this example.

This thread is pretty ordinary.
What about changing it to which is the best/most successful junior Association?

Here are the junior Victorian Championship results from the 2008 season (from VJBL website):

U12 Boys
Blackburn 34 def Melbourne 29
U12 Girls
Knox 59 def Kilsyth 44
U14 Boys
Werribee 47 def Keilor 44
U14 Girls
Diamond Valley 46 def Melbourne 37
U16 Boys
Waverley 52 def Dandenong 46
U16 Girls
Eltham 48 def Dandenong 45
U18 Boys
Nunawading 59 def Waverley 53
U18 Girls
Nunawading 54 def Eltham 44
U20 Men
Darebin 56 def Melbourne 45
U20 Women
Diamond Valley 57 def Knox 52

- Melbourne had the most teams (3) in VC grand finals for 0 wins.
- Nunawading & Diamond Valley both had two teams win grand finals for equal top billing for wins
- Eltham, Dandenong, Waverley and Knox had two teams in grand finals

Interesting to note that Kilsyth (VIC) is the biggest Association in Australia overall. I also believe that Knox (VIC) is second.
