EASTERN MAVERICKS (12-6) v SOUTHERN TIGERS (10-8)

Elimination Final 8pm (can we confirm the time?) this Saturday Night - Hills Recreation Centre. Mt Barker

Come witness the Mavericks in their first home final hosting the Tiger Cubs in their inaugural season.

Sellout crowd expected as the Tiger faithful trek through the tunnel to witness the taming of the Mavericks.

Below are a few of my favourite things:

League MVP J-Diddy v DB (Holmes v Bowley)
The floors will shake with Diesel v Shaq (Hoban v Trebilcock)
The Slippery Snake v Mr Automatic (Gerlach v Davis)
& are the Eastern guards goodenough to control Clarke?

Head up the freeway early and soak up the atmosphere - Let the trash talking begin!

Predictions please! Mine: Eastern by 15 after a quick start, but watch for some noise from the Tigers fans if Southern hit the early buckets too. Jacob for 40, but the Mavs lack real small forward threats and Gerlach and a Hodge or two should have a good night.

I think the Mavs wil pull it out by 10 or so. Jacob will dominate. These two always have great games (even in Summer seasons!!) and I'd expect nothing less this time. Unless Ingles & Gerlach rip it up, Mavs will just be too strong.

I think that the tigers will make it a bloody good contest! The only thing that will stop them will be there attitudes. They are a team with a heart condition. THere is plenty of heart, but sometimes it momentarily stops.
Southern are a smooth team. They'll bring it.

Fake Bags / Fake Coke

Massive busload of sunglass wearing southern savages apparently heading into the Hills searching for long lost cans of coke and a Tigers victory. Hope Eastern are extending the capacity of their stadium as I fear it will not hold enough people.

Pack up your travels in your old kit bag!! Sorry thats not my bag.

WARM UP THOSE VOCAL CHORDS PEOPLE! FINALS ARE UPON US!!!

For one team, this weekend the dream will be over and another 18 regular season games will stand between them and another chance at the title.

North vs Sturt.
Ingredients:
8 x current or former NBL players.
4 x up and coming young players.
4 quarts of Offense.
4 quarts of "D"
2 x cl(gr)oves of garlic
2 x cups of Hustle.
3 x seconds in the Key.
1 x winner.

Preheat to 200 degree's
Cook in Tin shed for 48 minutes.
Garnish and Serve.

Serves 100-400 eager supporters.

Eastern vs Southern.
Ingredients:
1 x Australian Boomers fringe player.
1 x former 36ers squadman.
12 x eager tigers.
1 x slippery snake.
8 seconds in the backcourt.
24 seconds on the shot clock.
55 seater travelling to Mt Barker from M/vale.

Chill at <10 degrees for 12 minutes.
Stir thoroughly.
repeat.
Allow to stand for 10 minutes.
Increase heat slowly over final 24 minutes.

Garnish and Serve.
Serves 500+
