Slam Online: State of Australian Hoops

Slam Online has a piece (first of two, it suggests) on the state of the NBL and basketball in Australia.

It's written by an Australian and doesn't bring anything particularly new to the discussion, but might be of interest to people regardless:

Slam Online: State Of Australian Hoops, Pt. 1

The international game is strong, and SLAMonline is ready to back it.
Probably a couple of comments at the bottom worth flicking through - I think a key group worth surveying on all of this are those who like basketball (and follow the NBA, for example) but do not actively follow the NBL for whatever reason.

Spotted this comment from the author in there:

Todd Spehr says:
One thing my initial draft had (that didn't make the final edit) was about the online component - lack thereof. The Boomers official site look straight out of the first days of the Internet, and the NBL's outreach to the modern fan just hasn't been up to par.
"first days of the Internet" - haha! Go Interfuse...
