Cairns' Thomas out 3 weeks?

Today's NBL Injury Report lists Dave Thomas with an knee injury and suggests he could be out of action for three weeks.

The team could be considered to now be the clear underachievers of the season with a pricey roster on a six game losing streak.

And this surely won't help one bit.

Anyone know if they considered replacing Stephen Black temporarily? Someone like Mick Hill could be worth trying? Or has the owner resigned this season to defeat trying to work out if they can afford 09/10?

Speaking of Mick Hill would he be worthwhile at the Tigers to replace Mac and give them the guard that they need

They already have SG/SFs in Barlow and Ere plus Greer. Seem to need a PG more.

Cairns, however, are struggling to put up points so at least Hill could give them 8-15 PPG off the bench if fit?

the word on the street in nq is that all the negative momentum on and off the court may spell the end of the road for cairns.
unless new ownership comes in,but who would buy this roster?? it seems a three year plan has failed miserably, resulting in a roster that is now to old. the only shining light for the future being kerry williams whose poise under pressure with the ball will see him represent australia at the next olympics.
