PreSeason game format: Super 7s

I read in Tasmania a little while ago that there was a tournament called "Super 7's". A pre season tournament with some twists.

Teams were only allowed to have 7 players, subs were free flowing like AFL, umpires don't touch the ball on fouls, the clock doesn't stop and if teams are in foul trouble instead of free throws they get a bonus point.

What do people think of this fast paced version for pre season fitness and a new uptempo form of the game?

Is it a serious form of the game or is it just a little bit of fun??

Subs free flowing is popular with everyone.
( and I'm not much of a free throw fan-prefer side ball pass or shoot)
