Tigers beat Wildcats in Melbourne

Ebi Ere has led the Tigers to a home win over the Wildcats, marking the debut of Luke Kendall for Melbourne and the re-debut of Dave Thomas also.

Alex Loughton had 21 for the Cats who had a shabby 0-2 week, having lost to the Taipans on Friday night.

Four to five teams (including the 36ers) now occupy 11-13 win territory on the NBL ladder which should make for a tight finish. The Tigers, however, have a number of games up their sleeve in terms of the schedule.

Just got back from the Tigers Wildcats game.
A couple of quick notes. Score was 70-64 at one point before Tigers went on some ridiculous 30-12 run.
Ebi was back to his glory days, looked like he actually cared, was good to see, hopefully he can keep some of that intensity up.
DT and Kendall slotted into the team extremely well , Tigers lack bigs but if they can shoot at a decent clip will do well.

Lastly the Tigers finally had a point guard running the show starting with crosswell and using kendall at point as well.

Was a little disappointed with the Wildcats, thought they would bounce back from the loss to Cairns and knock the unsettled Tiges off...would have also made me some money too!

I think Perth are much better without Rogers and McDonald in the team and with Kendal in the team instead.

Rogers takes away from Victor, Redhage and Loughton I think. This also makes there team much slower.

However, they must be paying Rogers a bit so they have to play him.

It was low but it's much closer to 3,000 than 2,000 (2,930). Also it was up against the cricket which drew over 60,000 people and Sunday nights aren't usually popular.
