Rhino's performance v Cairns

You have to feel sorry for Ryan Kersten. The bench gets cleared and he gets thrown on (good), but then has the ball easily stolen from him (bad), then doesn't really do anything about it (badder), then the same steal happens again (deja vu) (badderer), then stands like a goof mid-court (baddest) not doing anything again.

At least Scott saw the funny side, but Rhino would have been looking for a hole in the court to swallow him up.

Would have rocked his confidence.

The second time it happened, I had to rub may eyes to make sure I hadn't just watched an action replay. Virtually identical - the only difference was he got a little closer to the half way line before losing it.

To think this guy was originally meant to be sharing minutes with Davidson. Also with Davidson's injury he would probably have had to start at times.

He was decent when he didnt weigh so much. Also with Bruce in the team the guy has seemed to lost lots of confidence. I think this will be his last season in the NBL.

Are you certain that his weight has gone up? He wasn't the most conditioned player when suiting for the Breakers and did OK.

That said, I wouldn't be betting on him locking down a full-time professional career. If the league consolidates to eight teams, there will be competition at his position. Someone like Caporn might get cut loose from the Cats, we could see Cook and Williams abandoned by the Taipans, two Martins from the Spirit, Tait and another Martin at the Hawks, etc.

I believe he'll be playing under Brad Davidson at West this off-season, so hopefully that works for him.

Easy turnover bad luck but 2 the same Bad . But to just stand there after and watch and not chase to me was the real negative. Hope he gets another chance and ask Brad what he would have done ,he certainly would not allowed easy lay up

The goalposts changed for him after he signed with Bruce and Hill coming in.

In terms of the whole life after basketball thing, but I am also interested generally, i would like to know what those US College guys - Bruce, Schencher, Adam, Grizzard and Kersten, what they studied, whether they got their degrees and in what scholastic area they were in. Even it it pretty minor.

Just would find it interesting if anyone knows. I know Brett Maher did his personal trainers qualifications recently and i found that interesting to know.

Kersten was average as a developement player for NZ,
Tom Abercrombie and Cory Webster are our current ones and they are making the most of their chances on the court.
I hate PG's that get stripped top of tha key or half court and just stand there watching someone lay it in shrugging their shoulders with their bottom lip hanging out looking for someone else to blame, your a point guard, you should have handles, it is a general requirement of the position, bit diff if ie Anstey got stripped by CJ trying 2 go coast 2 coast
