Sarah Graham named WNBL POTW

Logan Thunder guard Sarah Graham has been named the Nivea Player of the Week for Round 17 of the Australian Defence Force Women's National Basketball League.

The 19-year-old inspired the Thunder to their second win over the Adelaide Lightning on Friday night, 75-70.

Graham led all scorers with 19 points including three-of-five from 3-point range, and grabbed six rebounds in front of a raucous home crowd at Insports Cornubia Park.
Slim pickings from the Lightning with these two scraping into the noteworthy list:
Adelaide Lightning: Tracy Gahan was one rebound off a double-double in Logan posting 13 points and 9 rebounds in Townsville she posted 11 points and 6 rebounds. Jessica Foley scored 13 points and 4 rebounds against the Fire and 12 points and 5 rebounds against the Thunder.
Ex-Lightning player Lauren King had 22 and 6 and Deanna Smith had 19 and 4.

Maybe a lesson here for Lightning to get youth into their team - any nineteen year olds who can play basketball around?
