Brett Wheeler charity game ticket info

Former Adelaide 36ers player, Brett Wheeler, has been diagnosed with a liver infection which will require him to have a transplant within the next 12 months.

Steve Breheny and Phil Smyth, two of the Adelaide 36ers former Championship coaches, will be coordinating a State of Origin game for the "Brett Wheeler Liver Foundation" as they are hoping to assist Brett through this very difficult emotional and financial time.

The game will be South Australia versus Victoria and be made up from both former and current NBL stars, including Brett Wheeler himself. It will be held at the Distinctive Homes Dome on Sunday 22nd March at 5.30pm. The coaching staff for South Australia will be Phil Smyth and current 36ers coach, Scott Ninnis.

The staff for Victoria will be Australian Basketball legends, Andrew Gaze and Lanard Copeland. Retiring champion Brett Maher and former NBL MVP Chris Anstey are the captains of their respective states. Coaching staff are in the process of finalising their teams with players such as Glen Saville and Mat Campbell (Wollongong), David Barlow and Luke Kendall (Melbourne) confirmed for the Victorians while for the home side, Joe Ingles and Mark Worthington (Dragons), Darren Ng (Singapore) and the 36ers own Luke Schenscher and Brad Hill will all play.

Why can you only get tickets from 3 places. Want to make it hard to get tickets. Basketball already suffers from bad crowds without making it harder to get tickets. Anyway I'll be there and look forawrd to it. Stick it up the Vics.
