When Will 1st Info of NewNBL be out?

When will we first find anything at all out about the NewNBL? Anyone know roughly?

At yesterday's Dragons members day they said they'd be "an announcement on behalf of the league about next year's team..." around midday today.

Could it be that they're announcing the Dragons (and possibly Tigers) as the first 2 teams in the comp, just to keep the momemtum going?

You would like to think any announcement would include more than mentioning two clubs.

Perhaps a core 6 that they can lock in?

If they announce 2 or 6 out of the 8 teams that would put them with an unfair advantage with regards to recruiting new players.

I just think the NBL needs to put out some kind of statement even if it is to let people know a date when the information is going to come out.

Basketball Australia issued a statement...
" We'll let you know, in due course."

Anyways.. EOIs closed 28 Feb - 4 weeks process...
to advise at the end of March. Successful clubs to meet early April with BA and State delegates etc.
Re how this elite league could promote all basketball.

If this is the announcement they were talking about then it's a bit of a letdown:

I've been hearing lot's of things that there won't be a league next season...But sources are unsure themselves, which is why many are leaving for Europe
