Above The Rim, Glory Road and Love And Basketball you might be able to find at JB Hi-Fi or something. Last I saw Above The Rim was selling for about $8.

Blue Chips has never been released on DVD in Australia as far as I know, but you can get the Region 1 DVD and copy it as a region 4 DVD when you get it, that's what I did with Major League.

atlanticdvd.com.au is another good DVD retailer. They deliver.

dvdboxoffice.com is the best! It offers free delivery as well last time I checked. You can get various NBA dvds there as well.

DVD players are still region locked? Thought that went out the window years ago.

KingJames - DVD boxoffice sucks now, they charge for shipping etc so it doesn't work out to be overly cheap anymore.

Most DVD players now play all regions by default, or at least have codes you can enter to unlock it...have a search on Google, unless your player is extremely old it may support region 1 by default or you may be able to find a code to unlock it.

I thought DVD players were all multi-regional or at least give you the code in the manual to unlock them these days?

I've got Blue Chips. Ordered the US version through CD Wow although I don't suggest going through them anymore, been a bit dodgy of late and I don't have anything to do with them anymore. They're owned by Stomp who also own/run: Play4Me, Chaos, Big W Entertainment etc.

The best bet are Amazon. Not that cheap now with the drop in the Aussie dollar and still charge a bit for delivery but have never screwed up an order with me. Personally I try to avoid them if I can due to treating a lot of their employees like shit despite being a Billion dollar company.

If they are popular titles, definitely check kmart, etc.

Yep, I have unlocked my DVD player with a code, just found from a google search with the part number.

In any case, multizone DVD players are really cheap from almost anywhere now, e.g. Dick Smith etc.

I have used DVD Pacific for years, their postage prices are reasonable for overseas delivery, and if you buy a few, it often works out cheaper than buying it in oz (especially when the oz dollar is strong)

If you're burning a DVD to get around the region protection, you'd probably burn it as region free rather than region 4...
