Should finish 3rd, Melbourne lost tonight, which puts us a clear game ahead of them, and we are already ahead of the Crocs by the same margin. We now move 3 games clear of Brisbane.

If we beat Cairns, which play the Crocs the day before us, automatically finish 3rd (atleast) lets just hope Joyce's boys choke against Hunter tomorrow, and get knocked off at home to the Kings.

A very possible scenario in my opinion!

Top 4 is pretty much now guaranteed thanks to the tigers losing.

At worst, we finish at 19-13, which is the best Townsville and Melbourne can finish. If we're all tied, it goes only on overall percentage (where we are currently ahead).

If Melbourne or Townsville lose a game, and we end up tied with one of them, we'll finish 4th, since they both own the series against us.

If we win, we'll be clear of both, and would be guaranteed 3rd (or even 2nd if wollongong lose all their remaining games)

Looks like it was a good game from the boxscores, perhaps one we were a bit lucky to get out of shooting at 38% with no one shooting above 50% (except the big fella with 1/1).

Second half looked like it was the Farley Maher show, 22 and 15 points respectively. Dusty pulled down a lazy 14 boards despite having what appeared to be a quiet game offensively.

Bring it.

Hey anonymous it doesnt go on percentage it goes on results against the particular. So if we end up equal with Crocs and Tigers we will be third in that tie.

We just have to win the last game, our fate is in our own hands.

Hey did anyone see that air ball free throw tonight.

If Adelaide beats Cairns :

They will finish a head of Melbourne & Townsville no matter what.

If Adelaide loses to Cairns:

And if Melbourne wins its last two games they will finish tied with the 36ers. Melbourne has the season series on the Sixers. With the series tied at 2-2, Melbourne has a 10 point advantage on us so they would finish higher than us.

And is Townsville wins its last game they will finish tied with the 36ers. Townsville has the season series 2-1 on the Sixers, so they would finish higher than us.

In other words, if we beat Cairns we could technically finish as high as 2nd, but most likely 3rd. If we lose to Cairns we could conceivably finish as low as 5th.

Not out of the woods yet.

The Kings tonight blew away the Tigers. I think they can beat the Hawks and other than that we're hoping for the Pirates to win tomorrow.

If only Sydney had beaten the Hawks in their last match-up, things would be looking good for us.

Yes, it does go on the season series, but onlny if 2 teams are tied. If 3 or more are tied, it only goes on overall percentage.

Not my words - Steve Breheny said it last night.

If we finish with a three-way tie then, as I understand it, the W-L records between the three teams come into play:

Adelaide: 3-4 (2-2 against Tigers, 1-2 against Crocs)
Melbourne: 3-4 (2-2 against 36ERS, 1-2 against Crocs)
Townsville: 4-2 (2-1 against 36ERS, 2-1 against Tigers)

Now, because Adelaide and Melbourne are still tied, the combined points in those games comes into play.

Townsville:
114-111
91-111
110-107
95-112
125-102
109-101
=644-644
=0

Melbourne
112-95
102-125
101-109
111-94
107-119
112-95
107-121
=752-758
=-6

Adelaide
111-114
111-91
107-110
94-111
119-107
95-112
121-107
=758-752
=+6

Which means that Adelaide come out on top, followed by the Crocs and then the Tigers.

That said, if the Tigers don't win their remaining games and we lose our game against Cairns AND the Crocs win, then we'll find ourselves in 4th spot as Townsville have the 2-1 edge of games won against us.

We are guaranteed a finish between 2nd and 4th, I think.
