Wow - this story had the feel of 'too f@#ked up to be true' but I checked out the original story and a news service interviewed the family, who showed them the three hollow-tipped bullets and blood stains on their porch!
I think this quote says it all:
"They didn't make that phone call (to the SPCA) other than to come scoop the dog off the porch after they shot him," said Scott Bullock. "Two grown men that can't gather up a five-pound dog and they're trained police officers sounds ridiculous to me."
And this says even more about the local police dept:
"Blue Ash police say the officers handled the situation according to department policy."
Yeah, you might want to review that policy guys!

Three hollow tipped bullets? That is ridiculous! Standard issue firearms hold at least eight bullets, so why didn't they use the other five?

I don't know, Xsstatkiik, what is the opposite of a little ball?

Why does the poll on that page have different options for "yes" and "absolutely"?
As to the opposite of a little ball, how about a little striped refs jersey or a whistle? (Not bagging refs, but like they are calling a foul on you.) Or alternatively, your post just gets replaced with this video:

What happened to giving the dog a good kick up the arse??
