Wildcats sign Martin and Wagstaff

The Perth Wildcats have signed ex-Spirit guard Damian Martin and solid college recruit Jesse Wagstaff who is a forward.

I think Wagstaff played at Metro State and is viewed quite favourably after winning a few awards over there.

Possible roster for Perth appears to be:

Martin/Robbins
Import/Weigh
Redhage/Wagstaff
Import/Cattalini
?/Rogers

Wagstaff definitely looks a player and is a fine replacement for Loughton

Martin is a terrific defender and with a little bit of injury free time hopefully his offence will develop

Wagstaff attended Metro State, Worthington's old school. He has achieved almost every Award that mark did at his time with MSU, including First Team All Region, First Team All District and Third Team All America selection..

Wagstaff is a very good shooter, and this seems to be an excellent Pick up by the Wildcats.

Its great to see players coming out of excellent Division II careers getting signed by NBL clubs

If the Wildcats can afford to sign both a frontcourt import and a starting centre they will have one of the most stacked rosters. I am not sure they will.

Even if they sign an import 4 who can slot to the 5 and a back up 5 they will be right in the mix. Have done well to sign some excellent young talent in Weigh, Robbins, Martin and Wagstaff. Perhaps Daniel Johnson would round out a very good group of youngsters??

They would have loved to have kept Goulding too, but no cigar.

The west australian's Ross Lewis said this morning said that Burston was a chance to come home, but his name has been mention with the 36ers as well. Sign burston and wouldnt have to worry about the centre spot for an import. Would love to have victor again though!
