I was thinking the same thing. We have now the missed swine flu round and many competitions still have a catch up round from the heat problem at the beginning of the year.

Also I notice there continues to be movement between divisions particulalry in U10's. Div 1 is now down to 6 teams while Div 2 has expanded to 10. I guess if one more wants to go back to Div 2 everyone will play in the finals in Div 1.

There are two announcements on Sporting Pulse about this:

Rescheduled Junior Games

Following is a calendar of the dates on which games postponed due to heat and quarantine will be replayed.

Heat
Round 1 games in the Saturday competition originally scheduled on 7/2 will be played on Sunday 28/6.
Round 4 games in the Thursday competition originally scheduled on 26/2 will be played on Sunday 28/6.
Round 1 Under 18 division 1 games originally scheduled on 6/2 will be played on Sunday 28/6.

The schedule for the games on 28/6 is now available on SportingPulse.

Quarantine
Round 13 games in the Friday competition originally scheduled on 12/6 will be played on Sunday 26/7.
Round 13 games in the Thursday competition originally scheduled on 11/6 will be played on Sunday 2/8.
Round 13 games in the Saturday competition originally scheduled on 13/6 will be played on Sunday 2/8.

The schedule for the games on 26/7 and 2/8 is not yet available, but will be available by Tuesday June 16.

The schedule for all games appears on SportingPulse under the same round in which the games were originally scheduled. Please ensure you click on the original round number in SportingPulse to see the schedule details.

NOTE: Exceptions to the above are the U12 Boys Div 3 and U14 Boys Div 4 competitons. The following applies to these grades:

At the start of the junior district season, the Under 12 Division 3 Boys and Under 14 Division 4 Boys competitions were graded with more than 12 teams. At the time, it was announced that these competitions would play a full minor round of games, then be split into two separate divisions for the remainder of the season.

Both of these competitions now have 14 teams. It has been decided that both competitions will play 13 minor rounds, then be split into two groups of seven to play another 7 rounds (one of which will be a bye).

For the Under 14 Division 4 Boys, the 13 minor rounds will produce a scenario in which all teams will play all other teams the same number of times. As such, the premiership table will be sorted primarily by premiership points, as per the by-laws.

For the Under 12 Division 3 Boys, the 13 minor rounds will result in an uneven number of byes, because of the earlier withdrawal of the Norwood Red team. As such, the premiership table will continue to be sorted primarily by game ratio (referred to as "PCWon" on the SportingPulse), as per the by-laws.

These competitions have both now played 11 of their necessary 13 minor rounds rounds 2 to 12. Round 13 (which was postponed due to quarantine) has been rescheduled for June 20, and Round 1 (which was postponed due to heat) has been rescheduled for June 27.

In the Under 12 Division 3 Boys competition, Sturt and North White will not have a game on June 27, because they were scheduled to have a bye in round 1.

Teams in these divisions should check their fixture for June 20 and June 27 by checking round 13 and round 1 respectively. In particular, the fixture for June 27 will appear out of order on SportingPulse, as it corresponds to a round that was originally scheduled to be played at the start of the season.

After June 27, once the final ladder in these grades is known, each competition will be split into two new competitions, and schedules for the remainder of the season in these grades will be published soon after.

Thanks for that - now the issue is how many younger age teams won't be able to field a team coz they are committed to football which is played Sunday mornings!

They should have invented a day in between so as not to step on any toes. Just lazy.

Why not just shorten the season?

On the positive, the Austin Healy will enjoy the slightly longer drive on those Sundays through the Heysen Tunnels

No some clubs actually cater for kids trying other sports and schedule trainings to allow both to occur. Best approach in my mind - doesn't force them to choose when young and keeps them in the game and hopefully they choose bball over footy

Sounds like code for "our kids don't train"...

sounds like our kids train three times a week - sunday training happens all day and is scheduled to fit around football game time. No idea #132
