Tigers sign Greer and Crosswell

The Melbourne Tigers have officially announced the re-signings of Tommy Greer and Nathan Crosswell, rounding out their team for the 2009/10 NBL season.

One of the league's brightest up and comers, Tommy Greer, will continue his playing career with the Tigers, after a solid season with the team last year where he was often called upon to step up to a starting five position.
Tigers Assistant Coach Warrick Giddey said Crosswell is a pure point guard, where he "passes first, shoots second."

"He's one of our on-court generals, setting the tempo of the game and organising the troops,"

"He stepped up as a starter after D-Mac retired, and we're all confident he'll lead us to another Championship this season," he said.

The 2009/10 NBL team is as follows:

" Chris Anstey
" Mark Worthington
" David Barlow
" Sam Mackinnon
" Luke Kendall
" Nathan Crosswell
" Tommy Greer
" Daryl Corletto
" Daniel Johnson
" Matt O'Hea
" Ryan Bathie (development player)

Nice list but they still have no point guard who can get the ball up v good full court pressure. We saw that from Crosswell and Kendall last year.

With no Ere in that team they don't have enough scorers if Anstey has a bad night. I think they will struggle for chemisty as did the team last season.

Barlow is a scorer and Worthington is no slouch in that department.
