Cats won't sign Hinson for injured Martin

Darnell Hinson will be signed as a replacement for the injured Damian Martin. Hinson has been in perth and training with the cats While visiting his girlfriend .The one weakness perth looked to of had will be fixed with Hinson and Robins running the ball

(Mod: Bzzzt. Martin's scans show no fracture. Could even play in season opener.)

Big coup for the Cats if he is signed. How long is Martin out for ? I think it is a major upgrade at the position and with a five of Hinson, Lisch, Redhage, Cattalini and Schenscher with Rogers, Weigh and Wagstaff off the bench. Pretty good looking line-up. Hinson gives the team something they didn't have before, guard scoring.

Reports in WA say Martin's injury isn't as bad as feared. Probably worth relaxing on this rumour until actual info comes to hand.

Cattalini about to retire. Schenscher didn't have a tonne of offers to choose from. Hinson isn't getting signed and wouldn't have been expensive after last season anyway. Lisch, who knows.
