Rich Melzer named NBL Round 2 POTW

Cairns Taipans star import Rich Melzer has taken out the National Basketball League's Player of the Week honours for Round Two after helping his team to an impressive home win over Perth.

Melzer had 23 points and seven rebounds in the Taipans’ 89-71 demolition of the Perth Wildcats at the Cairns Convention Centre on Saturday night.
Runner-ups were Worthington, McKee and Lisch. Here are the other contenders:
Other leading contenders for the NBL Player of the Week in Round Two included Michael Cedar (Townsville), Rolan Robert (Townsville), Kirk Penney (New Zealand), Ayinde Ubaka (Gold Coast), Corey Williams (Townsville), Michael Joiner (Gold Coast), Glen Saville (Wollongong), Shawn Redhage (Perth), Dusty Rychart (Cairns), John Gilchrist (Adelaide), Adam Ballinger (Adelaide), Tony Ronaldson (New Zealand) and Rick Rickert (New Zealand).
Surprised that Ballinger didn't get upgraded to a mention before Lisch.

Based on stats you'd go with Tywain McKee. 23/9/6.

Balls and iGil2.0 ahead of Wortho.
