Not a bad start individually albeit in a loss. Would have been nicer to connect one another one or two triples...

PS: On that note, David Barlow hit 10 points on 4/9 shooting to go with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal in 29min for CAI Zaragoza.

Barlow had 16 and 7 in round 2 to lead Zaragosa, although they had a loss.

Will do a full wrap on OzHo, a lot of NBLers did well in Europe this weekend.

Another solid result for Ingles...if he keeps getting 10-12 points+ per game and the occasional 20 point outing, he will be fine.

Just following Joe's third game for Granada. This time it's against Xacobeo. He looks set for a big one as he's hit 11 quick points in the first 7 minutes.

Only early days, but Granada are very happy with Joe from all reports, speaks volumes for the level of our league if he can continue to be the second best player on the team.

Final score 95-92 victory to Granada over Xacobeo in overtime. Granada led comfortably for most of the game but let the home team back in it. Ran out the game fairly comfortably in the extra period.

Joe finished with 14 points (2/6 2pt, 3/6 3pt, 1/1FT), 5 assists and 6 rebounds in 28 minutes.

Another solid result, but perhaps a little disappointing given that he had 11 pts in the first 6 minutes. He also had 6 turnovers.

Saw that - bummer. Looks like the same type of injury Mills sustained last year.

Last night saw the Aussie Showdown between Ingle's CB Granada and Matt Nielsen's Valencia. It was a disappointment both from the perspective of the one sided nature of the contest, an 82-65 drubbing of Granada by Valencia, and also of the performance of the two Boomers.
Ingles tried to get it done from outside all match but the shots were not dropping. He returned figures of 1-2 2pt, 1-7 3pt and 2-3FT for 7 pts with 1 board and 1 steal. The one time he did drive, he made a beautiful 'and one'. It made me wonder why he did not try it more.
Nielsen scored 2-3 2pt, 1-2 3pt for 7 pts with 4 boards, 5 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. A good result from limited looks but his effectiveness was ironically reduced as Ingles drew his third and fourth fouls in quick succession, forcing him from the floor.
To rub salt in the wound, Ingles was called for a foul in the final three minutes for setting an illegal screen to Victor Claver's elbow with his jaw. I believe he lost a tooth in the clash and had to leave the floor immediately.
This was the Ingles that showed up in the second match in the Oceania series. As his experience grows, I hope we will see the Ingles of Game One on a more consistent basis.
