NBA Preseason - Bogut vs. Anderson

The Rockets are playing the Bucks atm with Bogut going up against David Anderson. Anderson didn't get the start but this battle will be interesting.

Anderson's had a decent showing in the preseason so far. Hopefully that translates over into the regular season...

This matchup would be an absolute cracker to show on One HD when the regular season begins. Would get a great audience here in Oz.

Was about to post the sae thing!

Bogut 4 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal in 9min so far (2nd quarter).

Andersen has 2 points in 3min so far as Bogut sits.

Nevill saw no action for the Cav's in their win against Olympiacos.

As Bogut continues to sit, Ando is now 3/3 from the field, 2/2 from the line and has 8 points in 10min.

At the half time break, Anderson has played really well as Bogut continued to sit on the bench.

He is leading his team in scoring, with 13 points on 4/4 shooting (5/6 FT) to go with 1 rebound, 1 steal and 2 TO's so far. The fact he is getting to the FT line is also a good sign. Only the Buck's Michael Redd has scored more than Ando up until the half time break as the Rockets trail 50-63.

3pt shooting seems to be the main difference between the teams up to this point. Bucks 10-17 as opposed to the Rockets 1-7. DA continuing his great form in the preseason. Seems to be making a mockery of his seven year wait to get into "The Show".

His 'wait' to get into the show was just as much him not willing to go for less euro $$, there were oppurtunities there.

I think we can all agree that, years of intractable negotiations and a relatively poor showing at the Beijing Olympics aside, DA has had the ability to contribute in the NBA for considerable time prior to now, and his current form is underlining that.

His stat line does look pretty good.

If you don't include his +/- rating.

So far it's at -19!

Which is by far the worst out of anyone on either team!

Bogut and Ando were in the game at the same time for most of the 3rd, so I'm assuming they went head to head. Looks like Ando took the honours early, drawing a foul on Bogut, hitting the FTs and then making a hook shot. Bogut racked up a few fouls, but then got it going later in the quarter with 2 blocks (one on Ando) a few rebounds and a basket.

Bogut still being brought along slowly, but Ando couldn't do much more to earn the starting spot for the Rockets at the moment. Very good signs with his consistent scoring.

Ando finished with a team leading 17 points today on 5/9 shooting and 7/8 from the line. He also had 4 rebounds, 1 steal and just 2 turnovers in 25:35min of action.

He is doing all he can in order to seal a starting berth.

The best part about Andersen is that unlike Bogut he isnt a Jackass, great to see him playing well, with his form in the Euro league its not big surprise, good to see a nice Aussie doing well.
