Big things predicted for lanky Lizzie Cambage

Nice article in today's Herald-Sun in Melbourne that is also available online about Liz Cambage.

Love the opening line: "Liz met Loz for the first time yesterday and Opals coach Carrie Graf almost swooned."

The Opals have had a galaxy of stars over the journey, but never two in the same team like Lauren Jackson and Liz Cambage. The pair are being bracketed as the superstar and the superstar in the making.

Make no mistake, Cambage is only 18 and has a long way to match Jackson's prowess even at a similar age, when the latter was winning WNBL championships and MVP awards and the former was still at primary school.

The report card on 203cm Cambage is that, while she is different in size, shape and style to 196cm Jackson, the potential is just as great.

Can't wait to see these two on the same team.

It was on Fox Sports News last night. Cambage admitted to LJ she can't dunk which was surprising but they showed her grabbing the ring with both hands.

Why would she go to College when she can dominate in the WNBL immediately?
There is no incentive for her to go to college - the women's game is a bit different to the men...LJ never when to college either.
She is still a bit raw in a few areas and I think playing 1-2 seasons under Tom Maher at Bulleen will have her prepared for a huge career as an Opal and as a world-class player in the WNBA and Europe.

You need to be turning 20 in the year to be drafted to the wnba and liz is only just 18.
