Pero Cameron out six weeks with knee injury

Gold Coast Blaze forward Pero Cameron is about to undergo surgery on his troublesome right knee and will miss at least six weeks.

The popular player known as 'The Rock' has had an injury-interrupted season, only playing a handful of minutes each game since first being injured in late October against the Melbourne Tigers.

Adelaide plays up there tomorrow night.

With the injury report not being up yet, is there any info on Burston?

Isaac, or anyone close to the club?

I'd guess he wouldn't play but I'd wait and see what Boti writes in his Blaze preview tomorrow.

Thanks Isaac. Is it still his hand, or his knee?

Adelaide needs to beat the Blaze badly...

Understatement, yes. But nonetheless a win is crucial.

Gee a Pero thread and none of you have said anything about hamburgers!!!

Not good news for us Blaze fans as with his coaching announcement (separate thread) he may have actually played his last game for the Blaze. Recovery from a knee injury will be tough.

Here's hoping that he can get back on the boards for at least the last few games. He is a real crowd favorite and deserves to finish on the court and not on the sidelines.
