Drawcard Teams: Road attendances

From this round's NBL by the Numbers:

Melbourne might be struggling at the foot of the ladder, but they are still a major drawcard in the NBL. The Tigers currently lead the league in attendance on the road, drawing an average of 3,780 people to their away games thus far this season.

2009/10 Road Attendance Averages
3,780.1 - Melbourne
3,727.0 - New Zealand
3,503.9 - Gold Coast
3,499.8 - Wollongong
3,252.4 - Adelaide
3,218.4 - Cairns
3,172.8 - Townsville
3,054.3 - Perth
Bit surprising to see Cairns above Townsville, NZ so high, and Perth down the bottom. Might need to wait out the season to get realistic figures as these could be seriously slanted by a bias in schedule to date. No doubt Melbourne's top spot would have something to do with the league-high crowd in Adelaide a while back.

The Tigers seem to draw a crowd as they are the team everyone loves to hate...

The top 3 on that list have all played their 2 games in Adelaide.
