Bosh to the Lakers???

Well this is a interesting one that i have heard...

Apparently "sources" have it that the Lakers are looking at doing a trade for Bynum for Bosh...

Dont see how this will work with the Salary Cap BUT even if they did find a way would it be beneficial? is it really needed?

I personally think it wouldnt be a good move, i dont like the lakers but why fix something when it aint broke. Kobe takes the most shots in the NBA and has for years so where is Bosh going to get his 20-25 pts a game? And who now becomes LA's Centre? This would leave them with no "true" centre

Disrupting the chemistry is a gamble especially considering Bosh can up and leave at the end of the season...

lakers are looking to offload bynum who doesnt seem to play well with gasol....

they dont want to dump him but they have already tried to deal him for chris paul - so it makes sense that if they are going for bosh that bynum would probably be included

Truth! 17 + 18. Must've played some awesome D on Bogut too!

Bynum was impressive today - maybe he's heard the trade rumours too? He ran the floor like a maniac and got lots of easy baskets because of it. Played a very good game on both ends.

Horrible game overall though. Neither team could shoot straight. Bucks were playing with zero confidence, continually making bad offensive decisions and unable to hit their jumpshots even when they did manage to get someone open! As a result, the Lakers happily collapsed into the paint, making it impossible for Bogut or Jennings to get good shots.

Whats up with Kobe though? He looked like he was struggling today and had no elevation, even allowing guys like Charlie Bell to put pressure on his shot! If Kobe's injuries start to catch up with him, that could open up a few shots for Bosh! Of course, the Lakers'd suddenly have the worst backcourt in the history of the league if that happened!

Even if the trade went ahead, the Lakers could only resign Bosh next season for the MLE, which is about a quarter of what he will be seeking.

So effectively the Lakers would be losing Bynum for nothing.

The biggest issue with the Bynum/Bosh deal is the base-year status of Bynum which means that the Lakers can only to take back but half of his salary at the moment. The ceases on 1 July.

Could a sign and trade fix all of those problems tho?

Pointless trade for a stacked team. You already have Gasol who generates the same numbers as Bosh in most games. Having Bosh, Gasol and Bryant on one team is overkill; having 3 all-stars on the one side.

Lakers management must want to buy their back-to-back titles. As if there is any need. Can only see Bosh stagnating in LA.

Send him to the Bucks for Redd, Delfino and Gadzuric. Have him post up with Bogut.

I think Bosh wants a change in scenery and would prefer a beachside location such as Miami rather than be stuck in the snow yet again such would be the case in Milwaukee.

If the Lakers trade for Bosh they will have his Larry Brid rights, which means they can resign him for the Max regardless of the Salary Cap.

Big risk by lakers if they did do it.
Bosh is a much better passer and shooter then Bynum.
But Bynum is a beast inside.
Depends what they think they need more, shooting and passing or power and intimidation.

Toronto need someone like Bynum to strengthen their interior D and may be worried about losing Bosh in the off season.
