If we can keep that game within 15 points it will be a good effort by the Sixers!

"Felt something before the Tigers game and in the 2nd qtr, it was gone. The flights don't do it any good.
Get some physio and it should settle down." - He mentioned, as it was first thought it was gonna be season ending.

Hope he recovers - not for the NZ game but just in general.

Looked pretty damn sore when he came off early against the Tigers, great to see him battle through it though and continue to play, how many times can he do this though?!

What a tough man to perform Vs the Tigers. Clearly showed the after affects when arriving in Adelaide.

He will not fly to NZ as the flight will flare it up.

Hopefully he gets well in general and hopefully play Jan 30 at home.

We spoke with Ballinger yesterday. It is not season ending at all, but it is a bad spasam and it takes days to settle down, flying will only aggrivate it so he is in doubt to fly.

The club will be precautious as always and make sure he recovers before travel and training. What an incredible display of determination to have played that well. He was totally hunched over like he was in all sorts of pain at the airport, but he was not at all worried about it being serious.

My hats off to you Balls.

The season's over anyway so just wrap him in cotton wool for the rest of the season.

Ouch, He would have kept playing due to being warmed up, doubt theres many ppl here that havent felt something go during a game and been ok. And having had back problems all my life I can understand why he walked of the plane like that, they hurt ppl with back problems enough let alone having it go on you and then having to fly!!

Why cant our non performing players hurt themselves!!

That was Ballinger and Ninnis on TV news, just then.
The team flies out tomorrow, but if he's any chance to play at all, he will fly out on Wednesday.
Something he's played with for 7 or 8 years so he might be alright - he mentioned.
Ninnis said he hoped that playing him thru it against Melbourne doesn't cause them more troubles, but if there's the slightest chance that he could play, they will do whatever it takes.
Whilst yes I would've thought that the flight is not gonna do him much good and he'd be better stayibg here and doing physio, THEY are desperate for him to play.

All the best Balls
You are a pleasure to watch and to see your dedication through the Melbourne game was remarkable.
Can only hope that others take on some role as leaders and surge forward instead of worrying about the past.
Good Luck

against the tigers it was sad to see him when he came off. he was unable to sit on the bench and stood behind. on the court he looked like he was struggling to run yet he was still the most dangerous offensivly.

Yeah not really worried now. But it was bad to see the footage of him "walking" at the airport, was expecting him to have a walking frame the way he was moving. Hopefully he can use the little bit of rest an get it to settle down.

the Sixers will still prob win, Breakers will build a decent lead and then choke at the end

How frustrating would it be, if the Sixers were your favorite team and you had a relative playing for the Breakers - Boti writes today. Let me know if you are out there and we'll arrange for a UN parcel to be dropped over - he says.

mystro, don't you mean who will choke first?

Could be an interesting finish - since we've both gifted opposition teams the win and lack clutch confidence.

Too much at stake. Breakers will not let this one slip. Lemanis has been copping plenty in press of late. Keep believing and keep being aggressive is his solution to Breakers woes. He should have added "try being smarter"
Huge hole for Sixers to fill without Ballinger.

I don't agree with Balls being rushed and sent to NZ.

The plane flights are only going to flare things up and waste the trip.

I'd rather see Balls remain home and receive the extensive treatment and see him against the Crocs on the 30th.

Keep him in restricted cotton wool and get him right for the home games.

How is the injury going? Is he worth the risk if we can pick up he win?
