Huge game by Brad and a great win for the team after an up and down season.

The other team have recent NBA name Ricky Davis. He had 22 in this game while Newley had 25.

Excellent Performance by Newley to lead his team to a win and to play well against an opponent who once was an up and coming NBA basketballer.

Good work brad continue to get better and better and next step the NBA!

Newley received a poorly timed knee injury, just after he registered a mammoth 33 pt game in November of last year, which saw him out of action for about two months. Despite this setback, he has had an outstanding season. He ranked 12th in the TBL regular season in average points with 16.5ppg and 24th in total points (379 in 23 games) despite missing a big chunk of the season.

Impressively, he has achieved these numbers in a very efficient fashion. When collating his 3 Euroleague matches, 23 TBL regular season matches and so far 2 TBL playoff matches, his stat line reads thusly:

466 points in 28 games (16.6ppg)
121/197 2pt (61.4%)
49/121 3pt (40.5%)
170/318 total field goals (53.5%)
77/95 free throws (81.1%)
4.5 rebounds per game
1.2 assists per game
2.4 personal fouls per game
0.3 blocked shots per game
1.1 steals per game
all in 31 minutes per game

Surely the dude could cut it in "The Show"

Wow those are great numbers for Newley. How does the Turkish league stack up against, say, the Spanish league?

The Turkish league is still a class below the Spanish ACB, but it is still a very good league Beantown.

Great stats by Newley nonetheless considering his injury interrupted season.

Besiktas won game 3 by 8 points today. Newley is looking good for finals MVP, scoring 21 points alongside 4 assists.

Brad for MVP and then he can come back and play for the sixers for no money and save the sixers from finishing last!

I can only dream

The Turkish league is comparable to the likes of Italy, France, Germany, Russia, Israel and the NBL.

If Besiktas take the series they will face Efes Pilson in the semis, who are a quality European team and above the level of the NBL, so that will be a good test for Brad, who had 15p (6/11) and 4r, and 11p (4/9) and 5r against them during the season.
