Club of Origin

With all the flack being put on the clubs expected to shine in this weekends State Champs, perhaps next year we should make it a "Club of Origin" tournament.
This would stop the rubbish and show which clubs are good at developing juniors.
PS- I have 'registered' the name, but am willing to sell it to BSA when they decide to run with this idea!

They are already moving to other sports due to the frustration of team mates leaving for other clubs!!

There should be no juniors playing outside zoned areas and movement should occur only at the senior or U20/1 stage. If you move house, move club. Instead of letting unscrupulous clubs fill their boots on the better players of rival clubs, zones need to be introduced.
BSA also needs to step in to end the growing trend of clubs offering individuals to players from other clubs.

cant believe this, and no i am not involved at sturt, tigers actually, if a kid leaves a club to go play at another club i would think that would give another player a chance to play at a higher level, therefore increasing the number of players playing at that level. Usually if a player is "poached" it means someone is sacrificed at the club doing the "poaching", and if that player is silly enough to play division 2 or sit on the bench rather than move themself then bad luck to them. If the parents of the players be poached are happy with driving them all over adelaide and can afford the added expenses then good luck to them as well. It doesnt just happen in basketball, i have been involved in a number of football clubs where this happens also.

get over it

Zone - so clubs with substandard programs don't have to get better.

obviously 'hanging round' is the sort of person basketball needs - he/she claims to have squatted on a name (which is pretty uncompelling) for the motivational and altruistic purposes of making a buck out of it.... nice!
