BSA and subjective decisions

Just goes to show how poor it is that BSA think that using subjective decisions.

Their #1 ranked team managed to lose their first game and might now miss out on the finals.

Good to see that all the other clubs managed to band together to get this rediculous deciisions over turned.

Now if they could come up with a non-subjective selection policy we might all be happy.

The seedings are a joke, but it is almost impossible to seed, BSA would be better off drawing numbers out of a hat at least that way it takes PERCEIVED bias out of the mix.
A good example of poor seeding, Sturt Under 21 Women seed 7th and Southern Under 21 women both with 9 ABA players... WTF?

take one look at the 16 sate boys followed by a look at the current ladder and the results from winter. state champs is no way to make "subjective" selections for carnivals

BSA got Mt Gambier very wrong in the 16 girl's pool where there is absolutely minimal talent.Maybe they based it on that fact alone.
Something that perhaps needs addressing is the home court advantage to some clubs who enjoyed the majority of games as home games while the rest had 1 home game at best. Also the format is ridiculous with teams missing out when they lose one game. It's in danger of being seen as a Mickey Mouse tournament unless a better, fairer and inclusive format is engineered because home games skewed towards sturt and forestville and the over use of the southern facility don't stack up in the fairness stakes.
